I belong to a club team, can I still play for NYFH?

YES! We are a community based team and we do not conflict with any USA Field Hockey club teams. Many of our players belong to different club teams and many will be beginners with no club affiliation at all. 

My daughter has never played field hockey before is that OK?

Absolutely, we welcome and encourage new and experienced players.

Are  you a Club Team? 

No, we are a non-profit organization based on the USA Field Hockey initiative to expand the game to youth players. 

Are you affiliated with the Nashoba Regional School District?

We are not affiliated with the district but we serve the same community. As stated above we started with the intention of being a school middle school program .  Like many youth programs ( travel basketball, lacrosse, and football and cheer)in the area we use the Nashoba " N "as it is not a patented symbol. 

What kind of equipment will my player need?

A stick, shin guards, a mouth guard, and goggles. Helpful info provided in link below.

Where can we buy equipment?

Most major sporting good stores have basic equipment available.

My daughter really wants to play but we can not afford it right now. Do you have any scholarships available? 

A player will never be turned away because of inability to pay.  Please contact and we have scholarships available for team fees and equipment. All information will be kept confidential.

How will players get to practices and games?

Parents are responsible for transportation. We encourage parents to carpool. Please inquire about transportation and assistance if this is causing reluctance to sign up.

When is the NYFH season?

The Fall NYFH season begins early September and run through the end of October. Middle School games will be scheduled during the week. The developmental program will be scheduled during the week.  Games will be played on Sunday.

Are your coaches CPR Certified ?

All of our coaches are CPR and First Aid certified, CORI'd, and received epipen training.
